Humanidad Vigente denounced the fact that on April 29th, at 5:30 in the afternoon, when Ignacio Cárdenas Rodríguez was driving his car, along with 4 minors, on the Aguachica-Chorros road, jurisdiction of Arauquita Municipality (Arauca), soldiers of the Battalion Héroes de Saraguro shot at the car, causing serious injury to Patricia Rosero Ramírez, 16 years old. The troops are stationed in the villages of Puerto Nidia, Pez y Botalón, terrorizing the population.
This is another example of the military actions of the so-called “democratic security” that does not cease in its rush to produce results, at the cost of the life and integrity of the civilian population. Humanidad Vigente calls the attention of authorities of supervision and control, so that the people responsible for this new violation of human rights in Arauca be sanctioned.
